Beyond the Brand: Life Beside the Ranch

This is a space for the story that exists beyond the photos, the updates, and the visible work.

I’m the wife behind Ruda Farm and Ranch, living and working alongside a life built on land, responsibility, and long days. While the ranch page shares the work itself, this space is for what happens around it—the home, the quiet labor, and the emotional weight that doesn’t always show up on camera.

Ranch life is often seen through moments of progress: animals in the pasture, early mornings, wide open space. Those moments are real. But they’re only part of the story. Behind them is a life shaped by waiting, planning, adjusting, and showing up in ways that aren’t easily documented.

Here, I write about life beside the ranch.

About loving someone deeply committed to the land.

About the work that happens quietly, often off to the side.

About the steady support that keeps everything else standing.

These reflections aren’t meant to explain ranching or romanticize it. They’re simply honest observations from where I stand—sometimes at the kitchen counter, sometimes at the fence line, often paying attention to the in-between moments.

If you follow Ruda Farm and Ranch, think of this as the other side of that story. The part that doesn’t photograph easily, but matters just the same.

This is life beside the ranch
